URINE REFLEX TO CULTURE This test will include a routine urinalysis that analyzes the physical, chemical and microscopic qualities of your urine. This test will also include a urine culture if indicated. A urine culture test may be used to detect and identify if there is any bacteria or yeast in the urine sample.A routine urine culture will be performed if any of the following criteria is present:
Presence of Leukocyte esterase alone
Presence of WBC’s (>5/hpf) alone
Presence of WBC’s (>5/hpf) alone
Presence of Yeast
Presence of Bacteria and the presence of WBC’s (>5/hpf) or Leukocyte esterase
Presence of Nitrite and the presence of WBC’s (>5/hpf) or Leukocyte esterase
