Nursing Facilities & Group Homes Services
Minimize hospitalizations and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in your facility with our PGX testing!
Pharmacogenomics (PGx) testing offers significant benefits for nursing facilities, where many residents are on complex medication regimens. By providing insights into how a person’s genetic makeup affects their response to medications, PGx testing helps optimize treatment plans and improve patient outcomes. In simple terms, it identifies which medications are most likely to work best for an individual.
PGx testing can help eliminate ineffective medications and suggest tailored alternatives based on a resident’s genetic profile, reducing the need for trial-and-error prescribing and leading to quicker symptom relief.
Why your facility should implement PGx testing:
- Cost Savings: By reducing adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and hospitalizations, PGx testing can lower overall healthcare costs for both residents and the facility.
- Regulatory Compliance: PGx testing aligns with CMS and other guidelines that prioritize patient-centered care.
- Enhanced Family and Caregiver Satisfaction: Families value a facility that takes a proactive approach to improving their loved ones’ health and well-being.
